vlc-largeThe ‘Save Victoria Baths’ campaign brought together local residents, swimmers and heritage groups to prevent the closure of the much-loved Victorian pool, sports hall and Turkish baths in Sneinton Market, which had been open to the public for over 100 years.

The campaign ran from 2008 – 2011 and resulted in the opening of a new £9 million pound leisure centre in March 2012 – built on the site of the original and incorporating some of its original architecture.
